Scaled up Facility
2025
Ongoing
We are setting up a scaled-up facility at Telescope, St. Andrew’s ( on the east coast of Grenada) to produce biogas and biofertilizer from sargassum. The biogas is used to generate electricity (150kW) which is fed to the electric grid and bio fertilizer is transported to large-scale agriculture customers.
Renewable Energy Solution
We provide a stable, predictable renewable energy source to complement intermittent energy in the future energy mix.
High Electricity Costs
Grenada’s average electricity cost is $0.30/kWh, presenting a strong business case for biogas-based electricity generation.
Favorable Regulatory Environment
Grenada’s restructured regulatory framework prioritizes sustainability and encourages competition, supporting our operations.
Upcoming Application
In Q4 2024, we will apply for an Independent Power Producer (IPP) license under the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) to establish a large-scale electricity production facility using Sargassum-derived biogas.
